Lakefront Flagstone Patio & Beach Restoration

Reimagining a lakefront for large gatherings—boulder walls, a flagstone patio, and premium beach sand within budget.

Vision

Lakefront walkway and boulder work along the house

This family wanted to re-imagine their lakefront for entertaining while staying within budget. They needed space for large groups, easy movement between the house and water, and a cottage feel—not an overbuilt resort.

Stabilization first

We installed steps and natural boulder retaining walls for access along the front of the house. A boulder seawall protects the shoreline from further erosion and ties into the broader grade.

After stabilization, we backfilled the lakefront—essential prep for beach sanding and long-term erosion control on inland lakes like Spider, Torch, and Elk.

Patio & beach

Hardscape for gathering; sand for the classic lakefront feel.

The centerpiece is a large flagstone patio for fires and entertaining—room for groups with open lake views. We kept a generous beach sand area for play and relaxation, balancing hardscape with the soft shoreline families expect Up North.
